A McCain and Huckabee Republican Ticket

Hello everyone,

Evelyn here,

with more updates on the primary races across the nation. I found last night elections to be very interesting, and if I might play the “Prophetess” here for a bit, I would like say that the next president of the United States will be Senator John McCain. I know that it is still early, but I not believe that Hilary Rodham Clinton or Barack Obama has what it take to lead this country during this war torn phase in this new century. In addition, I do not think our country is truly ready for a black president or a woman president, but we getting there.

I believe Clinton and Obama have gotten as far as they have because the Democratic Party has not produced any strong party’s leaders in since President Carter. Does this means that Senator John McCain make a better than above candidates? Not at all. It simply means that if the Democratic want to win, they have to starting producing stronger and more popular stock.

That said, here the final tallies for last night’s primary elections.

John McCain won D.C. Republican primary by 68% of delegates, Maryland by 55%, and Virginia by 50%.

Barack Obama won D.C. Democratic primary 75% of the delegates, Maryland by 60%, and Virginia by 64%.

It is also clear that there will be a McCain (President) and Huckabee (Vice-President) Republican ticket this November, and that of the Democratic ticket, Barack Obama (President) and if she remains in the race, Hilary Rodham Clinton (Vice-President).

Obama Wins Country Music Entertainer of the Year Extends Amazing String of Victories
Coming off a weekend in which he racked up victories in Nebraska, Washington, Louisiana, the Virgin Islands and Maine, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) extended his amazing winning streak today by being named the Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year.

For Mr. Obama, who is not a country music entertainer, the award represents a significant upset since it had been expected to go to longtime country favorite Kenny Chesney.

Mr. Obama barely had time to cobble together an acceptance speech when he received word that he had also won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry.

The Illinois senator had been considered a long-shot to win the Nobel, given his history of not being a chemist, but the Nobel committee awarded it to him nonetheless, passing over the prohibitive favorite for the prize, Dr. Hiroshi Kyosuke.

Reached at his laboratory in Tokyo, where he has been studying the molecular basis of eukaryotic transcription for the past forty years, Dr. Kyosuke said he had “no hard feelings” about losing the chemistry prize to a non-chemist, explaining, “If anyone else had beaten me, I’d be upset, but Barack Obama? I do love him so.”

The news about the Nobel Prize was slightly overshadowed by the release of a new poll today showing Senator Obama defeating Hannah Montana in a head-to-head match-up.

The poll showed Mr. Obama defeating Ms. Montana 67 percent to 31 percent among people who describe themselves as rabid fans of Hannah Montana.

Elsewhere, seeking funds for her cash-strapped campaign, Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) fired her campaign manager and replaced her with Heather Mills McCartney.

Attorney General, School Resource Officers Warn Florida Schools of Candy-Flavored Meth

Hello Everyone,

Evelyn here,

As if the nightmares with the war on illegal drug use and sell wasn't tough enough. Now parents and educators must be mindful of the fact the that crack from a child's chewing gum or that brightly sugary colored hard candy bit, children so readily share might be drug laced with meth. Please read the following message from our Attorney General, Bill McCollum.

Bill McCollum

Attorney General

News Release

February 7, 2008

Attorney General, School Resource Officers Warn

Florida Schools of Flavored Drugs

Candy-Flavored Meth, Marijuana Gumballs and Other Threats

Could Endanger Elementary, Middle Schools

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Attorney General Bill McCollum and the Florida Association of School Resource Officers today issued a consumer advisory warning parents, teachers and school administrators of an alarming trend with dangerous implications for Florida school children. Federal and state law enforcement agencies are reporting that flavored drugs, particularly methamphetamines, heroin and marijuana, are circulating throughout the United States, often enticing younger children. These drugs could be ingested by unsuspecting children and are extremely harmful, say authorities.

“These dangerous drugs are being cleverly disguised and distributed among our children and we must work together to educate them about these very grave risks,” said Attorney General McCollum.

According to recent reports, methamphetamine with added flavors was first noticed on the West Coast, but is rapidly making its way across the country. Flavors can include strawberry, chocolate, cola and others. The flavoring reduces the bitter taste of the drug and does not affect the potency of the drug. Children may mistake the drug for candy pop rocks.

Another disturbing report is that of “cheese,” a form of heroin combined with Tylenol-PM caplets. Known as “starter heroin,” cheese caused the deaths of at least 21 Texas teenagers in 2005 and the number of reported cheese-related arrests has steadily increased. Cheese is particularly dangerous because it combines the double depressants provided by the heroin and the sleep-inducing medication. Cheese is cheap and highly addictive and law enforcement believes its use and abuse will quickly spread throughout the country.

“This a grave problem and shows to what lengths drug dealers will go,” said Robert Tricquet, president of the Florida Association of School Resource Officers.  “This is a direct attempt to reach out and attract a younger age group luring them into the drug culture. We must be ever vigilant with our children to protect them from these predators.”

Additional reports of gumballs filled with marijuana and narcotics packaged or disguised as candy or other more enticing objects have raised concern from Florida law enforcement and should be considered serious threats by parents, teachers and school administrators. Children should be advised not to accept any candy, which may resemble one of these new drug forms and should turn over any in their possession to their teacher, principal, or school resource officer. Parents should encourage their children to avoid any participation in distributing or using the drugs, no matter how harmless they may seem, and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities or a trusted adult.

When Bad Kids Grow Badder and Become Thuds An Update

Hello Everyone,

Evelyn here,

With an update the Saturday, January 19, 2008, “When Bad Kids Grow Badder and Become Thuds’.

I am perplexed. I am not sure of the workings of something peoples minds. Being a former Psych nurse is not helping me to understand nor accept people who are just corrupt, capable destructive acts and sometimes physical violent.

Of these people, perhaps they have been slow in catching on to the fact that their harassment and other crimes are being  reported or the fact that the lies they have spread are beginning to catch up to them.  Maybe is it the acts of harm they caused so many families in the past, some who moved away but is now being reported and their actions watched. And, perhaps it is the fact some of us are not moving away as their other victims did so that they once again run their illegal enterprises of the corners and other streets of this neighborhood as if they are above the law.

Could it be that this boy’s mother remembers how I rightly attempted to get a restraining order on her some years ago, and her hatred is still running deep.

Or perhaps it is that this same teenage thud, who lives across the street by the way, and blares his car stereo with absolutely no regards for his neighbors and  who suffer while they play out  their criminal minded morals on the innocent and peaceful residents of this street and neighborhood as if they own it. The only exceptions are those neighbors who think like him and his family.

Or perhaps it is simply them that are building on another lie of “She’s harassing me.” If they ever bothered to look at me, they would see that I do not give them a second glance unless they are pulling some act that requires police assistance.

Or perhaps it is that they have strong ties to those families on the corner who were big in selling the illegal drugs up there and they are rotating their harassment from house to house to kill the heat on one of the other houses that have been reported a lot recently for they questionable actions. They have done this in the past. So to repeat such a thing is not far fletched for them.

Whatever the reason for today unconscionable harassment from that boy, and whoever helped him from that corner house, their car stereos were so loudly that this actually shook this room. This caused me to telephone the police department some eight-ten times in a three to four hour period. In addition, that teenager’s mother approves of his harassment and watched me phone the police and spoke as if he has done something to be proud of instead of the shameful act of harassing his elderly neighbor all while she lay ill and resting in her room where sound is amplified as if in a hollow area.

Nevertheless, the fact remains that this teenage boy is being allowed the harassed his neighbors with his mother approval, and with no forethought to the fact that she is only helping to make him a thud and future criminal.

What were my points? My questions. Why such disregard for the laws? Why would it take nearly a dozen phone calls to the police department to get any release from the harassment? I Do not think I need to hear the same answer again, which is “Some people are just borne bad.. I do as any peaceful citizen should and report these activities to the police department. I just needed to relay what occurred today and has occurred during the writing of this page.
