The official ACS Breast Cancer stamp is now on sale at your local post office. It is a beautiful semi-postal fundraiser stamps valued at 45-cent. The stamp is available for sale at your Post Office's official Postal Online Store, and by calling the toll-free phone 1 800 STAMP-24: This stamp is the artwork of Ethel Kessler of Bethesda, MD. The Breast Cancer stamp is one of three semi-postal fundraising stamps offered through the Postal Office that has help in the continual the fight against breast cancer, domestic violence in families, and honor heroes.
This stamp was first issued in 1998; and since its released, it has raise more than $37 million dollars for breast cancer research. Thirty percent of the proceeds goes to the medical research. The stamp also features phrases that say by "Fund the Fight" and "Find a Cure", and has an illustration of a mythical "goddess of the hunt" by Whitney Sherman of Baltimore, MD.
