Governor Crist Congrtulates The 'Sunshine Week Essay Contest' Award Winners

Hello Everyone,

Evelyn here,

with an excerpt from Governor chaarlie Crist and "Notes From the Capital".

----------

Dear Friends,

As the legislative session passed the midway point this week, my priorities continue to be focused on strengthening Florida's economy and ensuring the best quality of life possible for every Floridian.

This week, we celebrated Florida's commitment to government in the Sunshine State with a reception at the Governor's Mansion.  Advocates for open government joined me in congratulating high school students for their award-winning entries to the Sunshine Week Essay Contest.

At the Take Stock in Children Rally, hundreds of students celebrated the generous sponsors and mentors who are helping them achieve their dreams in education.  These public-private partnerships help support world-class education that is key to students and the economic future of our state.

I encourage you to actively participate in the legislative process on these and other issues as the legislative session continues this week.

Thank you very much and may God continue to bless Florida.
