HBO Presents John Adams

Hello Everyone,

Evelyn here,

Since making the transition of dividing my very interests into separates web sites, it is seldom that I come across a film that not only fits the scoop of this site but also the high level of informational within American history. The following entry is from the current post I wrote for my “It’s A Woman’s Thing – "The Woman Within" Fan Page.

03.01.08 – Beginning at 8 PM on March 16th HBO will air a new miniseries on
the life one of America founding father. This epic seven part miniseries is
recreation of life the John Adam, who with an unfailing independent spirit
became the American Republic first ambassador to Holland and England, the
first American Vice President, the second American President, and father of
the sixth American President.

Based on David McCullough's Pulitzer Prize-winning biography, which was
drawn from an extensive collection of letters, diaries and family papers, the
miniseries stars Paul Giamatti as John Adams and Laura Linney as Abigail
Adams.

One of the most stirring and thought provoking phrase every written with on
paper and still retains its important and place in the lives of all Americans
today were written by John Adams in 1765, and he wrote, “Let us dare to read,
think, speak and write.” There is not a politician or writer, past or present,
who does not understand the true meaning of this phrase and everyone,
should take it to heart because it contains the essence of what it means to be
truly free.

HBO’s presentation of John Adams will have airdates from March 16 through
April 20.

Letter from John Adams to Abigail Smith, 11 April 1764.

Evelyn out.
