the upon portrait was also sent to me by someone who knows I am into different view of Jesus' face. this "The Veil of Veronica" by Domenico Fetti is very beautiful and stirring. See how Jesus face appears to be rising from the rest of the cloth. instead of a simply imprint it is like his face was made one with the cloth.
